Panoramic display, concept cars and more tech innovations at CES 2025
At the Consumer Electrics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this year, some car manufacturers will once again be present to present their latest technologies. An outlook.
In the course of the mobility revolution, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas is increasingly becoming a showcase for car manufacturers. BMW, Honda and Hyundai, among others, have announced themselves for this year's CES. A brief preview of the new technologies they will be showcasing.
Panoramic Display and other head-up display innovations
BMW will give a first preview of the new Panoramic Display at CES 2025, a new head-up display that uses the entire windshield as a display in New Class vehicles. This should allow for more clarity and individualization at the same time. In the future, drivers will be able to decide which information they want to have in their field of vision, and which they may want to show to all passengers.
BMW is thus taking the next step in the development of the head-up display for the vehicles of the Neue Klasse. This panoramic display is to be shown and presented to the guests of CES 2025.
The so-called Holographic Display of the Koreans from Hyundai takes a similar line.
From 2027, the feature will be integrated into the Hyundai Group's new cars and will be able to display all kinds of information about the entire lower half of the windshield.
Honda with new concept cars
While Hyundai and BMW show the latest innovations in the interior, Honda directly presents other concept cars from the Honda 0 Series. These give an outlook on future electric cars from the Japanese manufacturer, which is currently in merger talks with Nissan.
In addition to the already announced Honda 0 Series models, there are also rumors that electronics manufacturer Sony could show new vehicle. Together with Honda, Sony has been working for some time on Afeela, a new car brand that is to launch three models by 2030.
